Trachsel will be making his Orioles debut in his first start of 2007. The 36-year-old won 15 games for the Mets last season and has a career 9-9 record and 3.58 ERA against the Yankees, holding the pinstripes' offense to a .227 average.

NYY: LHP Kei Igawa (Major League debut)
Igawa makes his first start in the Majors after a successful career in Japan that included three seasons as strikeout champion. Igawa posted a 2-0 record and 3.13 ERA in six spring starts, striking out 22 batters in 23 innings.

Markakis is going to have a big year so nothing new from here.

We should do well on Traschel but he won the Mets ALOT of games and pitched well for them at times. Who knows.

i like a-rod and i think he's a good player in all but he still hasn't hit in a clutch situation yet...i mean last night in the botttom of the 8th he screwed up again...i hope his hitting carries over into clutch situations

The thing with AROD is that I would trade him for the right deal but at the moment we have the best 3B in the AL statistically. So we can really only go down from there. Cabrera might be a better 3B but do we have a shot at getting him? I doubt it. So for now I wouldn't deal AROD unless we get some seriously good pieces back. -Jitpal
