PITCHING MATCHUP
Chase Wright, LHP (1-0, 5.40)
Karstens is a likely candidate to be activated in time for this start against the Red Sox. The right-hander, who has been on the disabled list with right elbow tendinitis that developed late in Spring Training, pitched four scoreless innings for Class A Tampa on Monday. Karstens likely would have been New York's fifth starter to open the year and could need one more rehab start, but with the Yankees in need of pitchers, an activation is possible.
vs
Daisuke Matsuzaka, RHP (1-2, 2.70)
Matsuzaka is trying to snap a two-game losing streak, though he pitched well enough to win in both starts. Matsuzaka has given up three earned runs or fewer in all three of his outings. Control betrayed him in his start against the Blue Jays on Tuesday, when he walked three batters in the fourth inning of a 2-1 loss. This will be Matsuzaka's first career appearance against the Yankees, officially entering the storied rivalry.

YANKEES HOT BATS TO WATCH OUT FOR
Alex Rodriguez
Rodriguez homered twice to join Mike Schmidt, who hit 12 homers in the first 15 games in 1976, as the fastest to reach a dozen in baseball history. Rodriguez, who has hit safely in all 15 games this year and homered in four straight, also leads the majors with 31 RBIs. Alex has homered in four straight games and has hit in 20 straight games dating back to last season, matching his career-best.[color=red]He has an extra-base hit in 15 of the 16 games this season. To put this hot streak in some perspective

Your Chase Wright pitching matchup part is wrong. It talks about Karstens. I'm pretty excited for this game. I have a good feeling that the Yanks will knock Matsuzaka out in the 3rd and Chase Wright will pitch one run ball for 7 full innings. My prediction, put it down.-Jitpal

Nice thread man. BTW, it's the Red SOX, not the Soxs. I get so tired of y'all making these errors.
Let's get this game and sweep them at our crib.

I was just looking at some stats and noticed Nieves career numbers as a Yankee; 0-22 0 RBI 0 BB over 3 seasons.

Groan... Wright's doing the same thing he did last time where his fastball is off so he's trying to use his breaking ball as his go-to pitch.

Growing pains is 4 straight base hits. 4 straight home runs is something else.

this is testing his strengths and weaknesses right now, Chase isn't suppose to have an easy game in Boston if anything it helps him his next start. He left 3 pitches up they were gone, one pitch Lowell was sitting on low an inside. He can bounce back from this.
