:o :(

Broken fibulia due to the comebacker. Will obviously go on the DL, no news on when he will come back.

damn, it will be awhile. the fibula is the biggest bone in your leg if im correct? I would say he is out of our plans for the near future. Really sucks because he could have helped with spot starts and lon relief. Get well Jeff... :-?

Damn! Right on the heels of Sanchez having Tommy John surgery and having his career altered. Now our young arms besides Hughes dont look too hot.

Karstens was never a young arm per say. He's really got no future on this team other than being a spot starter. We still have Clippard and Ohlendorf in AAA who are going to be knocking on the door soon.

Sanchez having tommy john surgey really hurt. I was hoping he would make some real progress this season. Hopefully he bounces back but that sheff trade really hurts now.

On Peter Abraham's blog he said that there is a chance that Karstens might pitch again this year. Which to me implies that he is most likley out for the year. With this news, I really don't see Phil Hughes going anywhere. Who would they use Rasner? Let's stick with:
Wang
Pettitte
Moose
Hughes
Igawa/Rasner/AAA guy/Pavano
