Our starting pitching has really come around lately with the exception of igawa. It also good to see Arod hit one out after a little cold streak.

Arod lined out to right earlier in the game. I think the ball caught fire in mid air

What's interesting is Arod said earlier this year he wants to stay a Yankee. Cashman even earlier said that if Arod wants to stay as a Yankee, the Yankees will not re-negotiate his deal. Plus, the Yankees have a wait and see attitude towards free agents to be over the extend him now approach. Who knows if that changes but if Arod wants to stay a Yankee and Cashman sticks to his guns there will be much ado about nothing. -Jitpal

You mean let his 16 come off the books. Santana isn't free until the year after next. So still a while to go. Here is a list of stellar 3B to give 6 million to:
Russell Branyan SD
Corey Koskie * MIL
Mike Lamb HOU
Mike Lowell BOS
Greg Norton * TB
Abraham O. Nunez PHI
Alex Rodriguez NYY

Have fun with that Kandi. -Jitpal

Edit: Then you can go about signing Dye to some insane deal to replace half of what his bat gave us. -Jitpal

Nope after the 2008 season. We would have to trade for a 3B. The free agent market for 3B is very weak and from the minors, NYGM would have to lay it out but I'm pretty sure options are limited there as well. -Jitpal

Steller. So you want to bring in Mark Kotsay. Give Dye a bunch of money, because you realize Tabata won't be ready after next year and you want one of those 3B????

Damon
Jeter
Giambi
Posada
Matsui
Cano
Kotsay/Dye
Koskie
Mientkievicz?

EDIT: I am now realizing this may have been a joke

I want to bring in Kotsay under the condition that one of Harden, Haren or Street come with him. Otherwise, I want nothing to do with him. I never said bring Tabata up next year, I said bring Tabata up when Kotsay's contract is up which is the year after next. Meaning the beginning of the 2009 season in the new stadium.

I was making a point with Kandi that Arod is a player we have to keep. Because without him we have no power bat in the lineup other than Giambi. The only power bat available in the free agent market this offseason is Dye who isn't performing too well this year. Those are the free agent 3B and none of them are even close to the skill that A-Rod provides at 3B. Which was my point. -Jitpal
