Still dissing Zeke? Why? And I thought that this was the Yankee board. Zeke will be around for a while, so get use to him.

By the way the guy running for Arod was a ticket agent for American Express.

I perosnally know Isiah and he is far from a fool. I will continue to beleive in him and pray that the Knicks have a winning season. 2 weeks ago everyone was bashing Joe Torre.
Let's see what happens when the Yankees are 20 games above 500 and breathing down the Red Sox's backs. Every team goes through a period when the franchise stinks. Zeke will get us back on track, mark my words.

Peace Dude

we still aren't too fond of Joe Torre, P.S. Isiah as bad as Torre's decision making has been has not proved anything w/ the future of the Knicks, the Knicks can't even make the playoffs w/ a horrible Eastern Conference. :nonono:

LOL @ comparing Isiah to Joe Torre.

Don't worry guys, this is the same dude who blamed it all on racism.

I don't know who we are. But if you can't be fond of a person who brought your 4 World Series titles then I don't know who you can be fond of.

The players won us those rings, don't fool yourself. The teams from 96-100 had some of the best groups of players ever compiled.

Yeah but that team gelled unbelievably well, just don't forget who led them to those 4 rings.

Absolutely, Joe deserves some credit for handling those teams so well. However, Torre has never been accused of being a great baseball manager, he is simply a great player manager. He would be the ideal bench coach because he would be a big part of the team but not making every choice inside the game.

When Joe Torre is gone, we will all thank him for his 10 years of superb service to the NY Yankees. We are all fond of him, and we will always be, even when we disagree with him. We just believe that his time has passed and his legacy is being tarnished.

Well said, while I agree his time has passed somewhat I don't think his legacy will ever be tarnished. He lead us to 4 World Series in 5 years. Zimmer said it best on Mike and the Dog today....Torre gelled those players together so well, whether it was Knoblauch, Strawberry, Fielder, Justice, etc. He handled them so well. It was when Steinbrenner went money happy and brought in all these stars that Zimmer said the 'team' started to get apart from each other. He said his last year there he started to see it.

How Chris Basak starts a comversation about Torre is beyond me, lol.

No, I should not say that his legacy is being tarnished. That was wrong to say. His legacy will never be tarnished, he's done so much for this franchise. But I do believe we need a new voice and some change. How many baseball managers have stayed in one job as long as Joe? There are very few, turnover in baseball especially at the manager position is very high.

We all get mad at Joe from time to time (maybe except you 34 :) ), but not for a second will I ever forget what he has done for the Yanks. That man has put his heart and soul into this franchise and has been the man in charge during this franchise's historic 10 year run. He'll be in the Yankee hall of fame, he'll be known as one of the all-time greats, and he deserves that honor.

I just believe it is time for change and it is time for this franchise to finally turn the page on the late 1990s.

It's about freaking time. He has lost many valuable and irreplacable hours of his life... Georgia should be ashamed of themselves.

Now I hear that the state is appealing the ruling.. what a joke.
