These losses weren't exactly his fault. He has made plenty of mistakes, but these last few were not his fault. In Colorado no one was hitting. In San Francisco no one was pitching. It doesn't help that Giambi, Doug and Damon are hurt. Abreu is going through a cold streak, again. Moose just can't pitch anymore. Other than Arod and Jeter everyone has been cold, and Matsui and Cano just are not driving anyone in. Cano left 7 on base yesterday. It isn't Joe. I don't want Joe to be here next year either, but right now this losing is not his fault. -Jitpal

This 1-5 stretch was not Joe's fault.

true I want Joe Torre gone trust me I do, but now is not the time, Colorado was part Joe's fault but the combo of Nieves and Moose doesn't help for the 2nd time in a row, and San Fransico wasn't his fault either. I say guys like Farnsy, Villone, Myers (the piece of crap), this bullpen and the back up catcher.

Bobby Abreu
Johnny Damon
Hideki Matsui

these guys have slept walked the season.
---------------------------------------------------------------
the young

Robi Cano
Melky Cabrera

they have to do more
---------------------------------------------------------------

the bullpen and bench plainly stinks :noway:

The entire bullpen has been bad all around aside from Procter, Mo and Vizcaino and that only recently. Some of the blame has to fall on Cashman for Farnsworth, and those other guys. For the amount of money we spend on a team, we need to have a better setup guy than Farnsworth and better lefty specialists than Villone(who has been shot since ASB '06) and Myers who can't get a left hander out to save his life. It also doesn't help that these deadweight relievers are blocking guys like Edwar and Britton. Nearly every hitter other than Posada, Jeter and Arod have have horrible years. It seems that everyone except Pettitte, Arod, Jeter and Posada have contributed to a problem at some point this season from management, coaching and players. I just don't know where the team goes from here. They couldn't be more medicore. Playing up and down to the competition etc. The last couple of years the Yankees were like the '01-'04 Knicks. Now they are looking more like the '04-'05 team. The signs are there and it is very frightening. -Jitpal

Umm, Proctor has been our 2nd best reliever. He's had a rough time lately, but let's not throw him off the bus. He's still good.

a pitcher who's afraid of throwing a damn strike, he dives for a ball and instead of making a smart play he brain freezes

He's afraid to throw strikes?? Guess what, he has the second best BB/9 on this team behind Mo. Most relievers can't throw strikes consistently... that's why they are relievers. If they could throw strikes consistently, they would be starters.

Calling to DFA Proctor is freaking ridiculous. He has been great. Were you complaining when he pitched 6 innings in San Fran and he did a great job? No. The guy is overworked and it shows.

The guy has been a terrific reliever for us for the last 2 years. He has been an absolute horse too... 100 innings last year and he's well on his way this year.

One bad outing isn't going to change that. He's our second best reliever behind Mo.
