Yankees acquire catcher Jose Molina from the Angels for 26 year old 40th round pick AA pitcher Jeff Kenard.
I dont know what to think about this deal, Molina is not what he used to be... and just when Nieves started to hit and play well... boom gone quicker then an A-Bomb.

Decent move. An upgrade on Nieves to some amount.

I like it. He's better both offensively and defensively. Kennard may have been able to become a solid but nothing special setup guy, so it's not a big loss.

Good, shrewd move by Cash. I like it.
Losing Kennard is no big deal, trust me.

Well I haven't seen a lot of J. Molina or know too much about him other than some things here and there.
I'll go with it being better than decent then.

Pretty sure there is just Benji and Jose.
Jose Molina is not quite as good at the plate, but his arm is better than his brothers.
He's nothing great, but still a nice move by the Yanks to solidify the backup position.

Yaddier Molina on the Cards as well. He's probably going to be the best when all is said and done. I think theres a fourth in the minors somewhere.
But Molina is an upgrade offensively over Nieves, he plays solid defense and is slow as molasses.

Meet Los Molina. From top to bottom: Jos

While he's technically an offensive upgrade over Nieves, he's still an awful hitter, and ideally will only be seeing PT when Posada really needs a rest.
