Hopefully Cairo, and then Farnsworth.

I actually kind of liked Myers, but I can understand this move. He simply wasn't getting the lefties out anymore, and that's his job.

Wasn't Myers doing better than Farnsworth? Why didn't he go first? I've saying Farnsworth is awful for a long time and people told me that he ws an "average pitcher" but he isn't average - he just sucks.

   Apparently the roster spot is going to Jim Brower instead of Joba.

http://www.newsday.com/sports/baseball/ ... 1691.story

Let's hope Brower is only here for a day, because Giambi is supposedly being activated Tuesday.

I'm guessing Shelley Duncan is being sent down soon? It's gonna be a tough decision to make though. I say rid of Cairo.

Also, why Jim Brower? Makes no sense why you waste a roster spot on a 34 year old journeyman.

I think Joba still didn't get his passport so he can't go to Toronto, so he';; be here here vs. Cleveland

Well even though Mo is the greatest ever, there is no denying that Pap's numbers have been off the charts. But I'd say that is really a draw. As for Gagne/Vizcaino, the edge has to go to Gagne...as well as Vizcaino has been pitching. I think Joba has the potential to be better than Okajima by the time he pitches a few times, but lets not forget that he hasn't thrown an MLB pitch yet, so right NOW the edge goes to Okajima, but that can change quickly. Few current relievers in all of baseball have Joba's arm, nobody throws that hard with that good of a slider (not even Billy Wagner because his slider isn't as filthy). So if Joba can handle the spotlight, he can be dominant immediately.

As of now, no. They may want to have him pitch in relief on back to back nights as the final test (which can be Tuesday and Wednesday). I'm just guessing, but if true he could meet up with the team in Cleveland. Or maybe he didn't get the passport done in time.

I could swear I heard on ESPN Radio this morning that Joba would be joining the team in Toronto today. I don't remember exactly when, but I'm pretty sure I heard that. -Jitpal

The NY Post says Joba, Newsday saiys Brower. Peter Abraham also says Brower and I think I believe him. We'll find out shortly I guess.
