This guy is a complete yankee hater and its not even funny. He still thinks our bullpen and pitching is not good enough to get into the playoffs. He is pickin the M's to get the wildcard?
I cant wait for this guy eat crow when the yanks do make it cuz hes a complete moron. I am not surprised espn hires another no talent hack to their team of retards. He should go back to being the GM of the mets and ruin them again.

Steve Phillips also thought ARod should be traded last season because he was beyond repair here in NY.
Phillips is the reason I don't watch Baseball Tonight anymore. Kruk and whatever (Please Use More Appropriate Word) fill in is aside him on a nightly basis is another reason.

As much as you think he hates the Yanks, he hates the Mets that much more. He'll never get over being fired

Peter Gammons (AKA Red Sux Fan) actually said some good stuff about the Yankees on Sportscenter.

He even said Joba had the best stuff in the AL.

My favorite Phillipsism was two years ago in an online chat when he said that the Yankees, in spite of still being in contention, should trade away their entire starting outfield for prospects (Matsui, Bernie, Sheffield at the time). The guy was an atrocious GM and might be even worse in his current job. If BBTN ever wants to get back to respectability they need to dump everyone but Gammons. Throw Rob Neyer on there maybe.

...which is just a profoundly stupid prediction. Baseball Prospectus has a neat tool called the
Postseason Odds Report that predicted as of this morning that the Yankees and Mets have 70 and 84 percent chances of making the playoffs, respectively. The man shouldn't have a job in baseball.

Come on aggie, Gammons is one of the least biased, best sports announcers ever. Yeah, he is a Sox fan...but he never shows it.
