Hmm.. 70 pitches and still isn't out of the 3rd inning. Looks pretty bad. If there's one thing we do know though, its that the yankees can put up 5 runs in no time.

It's pathetic that Karstens actually started this game. I am so dissapointed in Cashman and Torre.

hey, don't be mad at karstens. be mad at clemens for hitting a batter after a warning thus ensuring he gets suspended.

I am mad at Karstens because he is complete garbage. He realizes his stuff is complete crap and yet he still can't throw strikes. I am mad at Cashman and Torre for realizing that Karstens is not a major league pitcher and for not appealing the suspension until we had an offday around the corner.

This has nothing to do with Clemens... he did what he had to do.

Yeah its really strange that they didn't appeal and work around this. Its like forfeiting a game for no reason.

no he didn't. we're paying him $28 f'n million dollars to pitch for us. bring in farnsworth to hit rios...not clemens.

the yanks put themselves in this situation where they have to play .750 baseball just to get back into it. they're playing awesome, but clemens shouldn't have been the one to hit rios.

If we want to come back we need to take more pitches because Cabrera doesn't have very good control.

What I don't understand is that this team's plate discipline has gone to the poops this game.

This might be the last time we see Karstens and Brower pitching for us this year.

i wrote in the other thread that by starting karstens, its like giving up b4 the game started....and look how it worked out.....what a horreoudous idea to give this garbage pitcher a start late in the season where every game counts
