Good article comparing Hughes and Joba

It brings up some interesting things. Obviously I'm no pitching coach, so half of what he is writing is more educational for me if nothing else. I'd like to hear what people such as Nardi Contreras have to say about their mechanics in terms of what the reason is that Hughes opens up his left shoulder earlier, or why he goes with the higher arm slot, etc. They know what they're doing with these kids, so I'm sure there is a reason for all of it. And Gomez even states in the article that it looks like Hughes has gone to a lower arm slot since coming off the DL.
It's funny because last season Hughes was the #1 prospect in all of baseball and was a phenom. And now with the emergance of Joba (and the fact that everybody in the media is in love with guys that throw nearly 100 mph) it has put Phil under the radar, and dare I say underrated. Oh well, no team in all of baseball in my lifetime has had two 21 year old studs like these two, so lets just sit back and enjoy the show they put on for us.
