Good pitching matchup today
Clemens vs Hernandez
But it wont surprise me if the Yankees bomb Hernandez since they are good against good pitchers, but suck against bad pitchers(the D-Rays staff)
If we sweep them we have a comfortable lead over the Mariners but the Tigers are still behind us
So lets go Yanks

The last thing I wanted to see going into this series was Clemens and/or Mussina. Hopefully we don't have to see BOTH.

It looks like Clemens hurt his leg on that grounder down the left field line.

If Joe really wants to get Mussina back in the rotation, they need to put Clemens on the DL. We can't afford to be giving away 2 games a week with both of them in the rotation (possibly 3 with the way Hughes has pitched). One or the other IMO.

Beat down by the Devil Rays and snapping a collapsing teams 9 game losing streak. Maybe this team doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs.

I rather have a hurt Clemens than Mussina.

Is it Flacid Offense or Poor Pitching?

In TB series, both. But today with the most talented young pitcher in the majors, I would say this one is all on Clemens. Felix isn't consistent yet, but he has the best stuff of any young pitcher in the majors. I'm not surprised he's dominating us.

I really want to hear an honest announcer one of these days. Somebody who just says whatever they feel like on the air. For example, Michael Kay asked Leiter if Clemens was bad today becaue of his injuries or if he was just ineffective. Leiter beat around the bush and basically said it was a little of both.
I would like to hear somebody answer that question, "You know, Clemens just doesn't have it anymore and now has the consistency of 20 year old Phil Hughes. Except he doesn't have really good stuff anymore, so basically, he sucks."

It doesn't hurt having Betancourt behind him either.

It seems like every really good Clemens started if followed by a really crumby one.

Clemens hasn't has a really good start in almost a month.
