The Rally Squirrel

Post#1 » by 34Celtic » Wed Sep 5, 2007 3:52 pm

Does anyone have connections to anyone in the NYC media? If we can just get one stuffed animal made up with a Yankee hat and a jersey we can get the ball rolling on this thing. Seriously all we need to do is get him one video spot on TV with animation. He could also have his own theme music, something like Nelly's heart of a champion (i'm open to suggestions) that they play before every game...I'm just not sure how that would work if we played it again come the 6th inning of a game. Someone has to know someone who knows someone who knows someone who works for the Yankees and can make this happen

PS-No I don't smoke crack, I think this is a good idea. I think to squirrel is the ****

Sign him long-term. We need him at every future home game.

I like the squirrel too but this idea seems a little too gimmicky for the Yankees.

pretty much.

I could see them start selling squirrel plush toys with little yankee hats or a jersey for the little kids. Of course adults would buy them for themselves too but the Yankees can say its for the kids.

They had an article on the squirrel in the Daily News today on like the 5th page. It was pretty long too, haha. They showed pictures of it's appearances and that it is 4-4 on Yankees wins. They interviewed a zoo expert and said the squirrel is probably there just to scour the stands for food after the game and does not actually enjoy watching baseball. Who knew?

They showed a live shot at yankee stadium and the squirrel was chilling at the top of the foul poll.
