I know A-Rod isn't going to break any type of single-season home run record in front of our eyes, but does anyone else get the idea that we're watching something special?

Seven home runs in five games is pretty insane. I'm also assuming that with the current MLB steroid rules in place, we don't have to worry about that kind of stuff with him, at the VERY least for this season.

It's gotten to the point that I feel as though he's going to hit a home run in EVERY game he plays. We have nineteen games left this season for Alex to continue his amazing run.

Does anyone think he can hit 60?

He'd need eight home runs in the nineteen games left, roughly a home run every 2.33 games or so...

If he bangs three in the next five games I think it's possible.

As of now, ARod is hitting a home run every 10 at bats and is averaging 3.68 ABs per game. Over 19 games remaining, that will give him another 70 ABs. At his current pace, that's 7 home runs, giving him 59 for the season.

Basically, 60 is a very very realistic number for him to reach.

The (asterisked) AL Home Run Record is still up for grabs if he can hit 62. He'll probably need to stay on this hot streak a while longer to get there, but it's possible.

I think 60 is very reachable. But i dont expect more than that.

I hope ARod reach the 60 mark, bt i wont be dissapointed if he dosent cuz cuz the season he is havin he dont need 2 bang HRs 2 prove himself

I agree that 60 is reasonable and attainable, but do any of you get the feeling that this season is something special?

2 bad he didnt get 2 extend his HR streak, but that dont mean he cant get 60!!
