really unfortunate, and we havent even seen him play 1 game yet...

Maybe if it was a do or die situation that would be appropriate.

It really is warranted though, especially with what he's done the last couple years in postseason play.

Not really.

Arod's had two tough series in a row... what was that, 30-at bats max? Anything can happen in 30-atbats.

There is no need to be added pressure on him. :nonono:

I'm crazy for thinking that the best player in baseball needs to perform for us to be successful in the postseason? If ARod has another performance like he did last year against Detroit, and he is 1-11 and strikes out in the 9th inning of game 3 you can bet I'll be right there in section 20 screaming at him. He needs to be the player he has been all year and can't fade away in the 15-20 At Bats he will get in this series.

So if that makes me crazy for thinking that way, so be it. But the best player on your team cannot perform like a goat every year in the postseason. Since he's been here we haven't gotten past the ALCS and honestly that pisses me off.

It's 15 at-bats. Anything can happen in 15 at-bats. He could hit 10 hard hit liners right at fielders and be 0-10.

It would be nice if Arod didn't hit if this team would pick him up for once.

It's beyond pointless to take anything away from 15 at-bats. If Arod goes 3-15 I won't be mad. Maybe his teammates could pick him up..???

You're right....if Arod goes 3-15 and hits 10 line outs to outfielders you can't be mad. But if he swings the bat like he did last postseason, where he looked lost...you sure as hell have the right to be mad.
