I love your enthusiam, and I hope I am dead wrong, but I just don't see it. unless Brosius, Tino and paul Oneal are comming in to replace A-rod, matsui and dougie, I don't see this happenning..

Yanks are becomming post season chokers. I am not talking about jeter and posada and Mo, but the other stars brought in here are just not winning material... It shows..

Yea im with you man. I really do believe we can turn it around

Im usually pessimistic, but A-Rod is going to turn it around and once he starts hitting then the whole lineup will come around as well

If we force a game 5 all the pressure will be on the young Indians and i dont think they will be ready for that

by TheOUTLAW
There is virtually no pressure on the Indians since hardly anyone expects them to win to begin with.

The Yankees will win the game coming up and the game after that and the game after that game, Which means we will WIN the SERIES.

You really think the Yankees will get sweeped? by da Indians??

This could be Torres, ARod, Clemens and other Yankees last game together, so they gonna be thinkin every game of the series they play this COULD be the last game they play together, so they will step up their game and win games AND THE CHAMPIONSHIP... so if it is their last game as a group it will end as a CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM

yea, the yanks bats are saw dust, but if you look at it, abreu got on with two outs twice and was in scoring position one of the times and A-rod layed an egg, but it is not all on him, posada is doing crap, A-rod is not seeing great pitches so he is swinging at bad ones, and that is because you have matsui and posada behind him and they are not doing a damn thing!!

A-rod will take the heat, but so far the biggest choker has been Posada.. Swinging at that 3-0 pitch and then striking out with the bases full, and not blocking that ball last night all adds up to him being the biggest choker thus far.. Granted, A-rod has failed many times, and Jorge has a solid track record, but for this particular series, Jorge has hurt the Yankees in critical situations more so than Alex...

great players rise in these occasions, its what sets them apart from the other 8 in the lineup

Krod had his chance, top 9th, with a RISP in a tied game, and what does he do? he chokes....its those situations where your big gun is supposed to come thru...Krod is our biggest gun, and he has yet to come thru in the last 3 years now

you have a point, but in the eyes of the yankees fans. Jorge was a centerpiece in 3 of the 4 yankees championships. He has 4 rings and 6 WS appearances.. A-rod has 0 and 0..... But the wild pitch was on joba, but jorge has to block that, I agree, and the strike out with 1 out and bases loaded in game 1 was huge...

but lets be real. A-rod bats in the 4 hole, he is expected to deliver and he has not. That is the story..

Look at what matt Holliday is doing for the rockies. Big hit after big hit... When the yankees were winning rings it was scott brosius, DAvid Justice, Bernie williams, Jeter in 2000 vs the mets. Big situations, Big plays! I am not saying everytime a player is going to succeed, but it is that 1 or 2 times he comes up big, lifts his team, then other guys are inspired, they chip in, they have big moments, but it starts with your best players, and so far A-rod and matsui have stunk in that 4 and 5 hole!!!

Even tho ARod prolly dosent deserve us booin him after what he did for us during the REGULAR SEASON he should understand y the boos r still comin his way.

I think ARod just need that one game where he explodes and shakes off the playoff struggles once and for all.

Peyton Manning won a championship last year y cant ARod this year?

Im a huge yankee fan, and have followed this forum for ages, but only decided to post now.

The way some yankees fans treat A Rod, is totally unacceptable, the guy has put up huge numbers all season, mvp numbers, he isnt the only one struggling out there?

He has faced two outstanding pitchers in game one and two, and has been shut down, but so has the whole line up! Should we get rid of Jeter Matsui Posada Cano, come on!

I understand that its the playoffs, but would we be in the playoffs without A Rod, and who do we get to replace A Rod if he leaves? He is our only legitimit HR threat in our team, who else is going to bat over .285 and hit over 35 HR every year? even on a bad year? No one

When its all said and done A Rod will be seen as one of the top 5 baseball players of all time, and the way some Yankee fans are treating him he may choose to opt out and go to a different team, i certainly hope this isnt true, but would you blame him for leaving, he does his best for the team every year!

He isnt going out there on purpose to go 0-4, if this happend in the regular season, would anyone care? I understand its the playoffs, and that A Rod has a recent history of struggling in the playoffs, but when fans jump on his back you add the pressure on! A Rod should be cheered  if i was at yankee stadium i would cheer at every at bat!

I understand that top players should rise to the occasion, but he isnt the only one whos struggling, and to be honest this is crazy, its like NY media and fans are looking for someone to blame, instead of just accepting we have been out played as a team in both game one and two

You may think what does someone from New Zealand know about Baseball, well i think i have a good knowledge of baseball, and i know about pressure, New Zealands Rugby team wins about 85% of there games, but they are expected to never lose, never, when we do lose the nation finds reasons to put the team down, New Zealand just got knocked out the World Cup of Rugby in the Quarter finals, and despite only losing 4 games out of there last two years, it is likly that the coach will be fired, the team has pressure, and the team failed, but the pressure is built on by the media and by the fans, and this is what is happening with A Rod!

I believe if A Rod can get one hit, one HR, he will get going and he will feel like he has gotten a huge monkey of his back, but if the crowd cheers him and he knows that they have his back, well that might help him get going!

I agree with some points. A-rod is taking more heat then he deserves, and I am not the type of fan that boos his own players, that is dumb, but there are other guys who need to take blame. I think part of the reason A-rod is not getting hits is because he is having to fish after bad pitches. Teams are not going to pitch to him or give him much to hit, when posada and matsui are sucking it up. I wish someone goes and look back at the playoff performances of those two over the past few years.... i am sure they have been less than stellar.
