question. If the sox win, how would you rank this team that could have two rings 2004/2007 against the yankees dynasty that ended in 2001 that had 4 rings... I know it sounds obvious, but listening to sox homers and moronic fans, they would idiotically say, the sox... what do you guys think..
BTW: go Rockies!!

It's clearly the Yankees. First off they won more rings so duh, they get the nod. Plus the core that won those championships e.g. Jeter Posada, Rivera have helped them to win division titles and playoff series since 2001.
I think with the influx of youth coming up into the big league club and the talent currently on the roster, they could build a "dynasty" to rival the Yankees late 90s teams but right now, the Yanks team is better.
The Patriots, on the other hand...
Dane Cook came to my college and the student body went bananas over him. Everyone loves him. Except me. mahalo

OH I agree, but the boston love right now is sickening, just listening to ESPN and those jackasses talk about, how great of an experience fenway park is and the history and the town, I am like, please, what damn history. As it stands now over the past 80 years, the marlins have more rings than they do.. It is really sickening...
The patriots pretty much rivaled what the yanks did, but I think people forget, during the yankees run, they won 13 straight WS games from 1996-2000 including 2 WS sweeps and never msised the playoffs, even the mighty pats during their run missed the playoffs. It is funny all this boston love now. I hope the rockies come back with the upset...
yea, and dane cook is not really funny.. not at all..

There is also far more parity in the NFL and the Patriots do have the all time record for most consecutive victories, regular season only and post season included. But that is neither here nor there.
And ESPN doesn't ride the Yankees dynasty stuff when they are in the series? How many times did Buck and McCarver bring up the Bambino curse garbage and the Sox history of not being the Yankees in both the 03 and 04 playoffs? How many replays of Boone's HR did we see in 04? History is more than just championship, history is history and Fenway definitely has a lot of it. It was opened in 1912 so it had all the greats from those early runs, they had Babe Ruth pitching, Ted Williams, Yaz, the 67 impossible dream team, Fisk's HR, etc... Yankee Stadium is rich with history as well and not all of it concerns World Series victories. Many of those moments are WS moments but not all of them. Fenway Park is a wonderful experience if you really love baseball and history and I think Yankees fans are going to miss the Stadium when it's gone for the same reasons that Sox fans will cry the day Fenway is torn down. mahalo

good points you make... I am not so much a baseball purist with all the history stuff, but I do respect baseball history a lot. You make a good point, there is a lot of histpory in fenway even if it is not one filled with winning, there are lots of memories.. good post...

I met a girl my freshmen year of college who loved Cook. Would not stop talking about the guy. This was before he blew up. I found him mildly amusing but she was obsessed. Needless to say, I despise the man now.

I felt the same way. I'd lie if I said I had never laughed at Cook because I have. But he gets tiresome very quickly and now that everyone is riding his jock and he is everywhere, I can't stand the man.
Thanks TKF. I think you're just spoiled as a Yankees because much of your history revolves around post season SUCCESS whereas the Sox are more so in defeat. When a light hitting shortstop can give himself a new middle name well into adulthood with one swing of the bat, that kinda shows the type of history you find at Fenway
