I hate losing Mattingly
I don't like the idea that one of our own might go with Torre to the f'n Dodgers of all places. I'm really disappointed.

Mattingly won't be part of the Yankees because he doesn't want to crowd Girardi's space. Hes also very hurt because when he came out of retirement to become a hitting coach it was understood that he would become the manager at some point.

Would you like it better if they put Mattingly in as manager in a situation that they knew he would fail in so they could score some PR points. Which is what I thought they would do, I also thought they would cave on ARod and of course they still might but at this point I am pretty pleased with the Hank and Hal regime.
I think they can be much more aggressive as far as reshaping this team with Girardi.
