Help me get an idea of the value of Yankees prospects. Also what is the likely hood they will ever be regulars in pinstripes.
Obviously the big three pitching prospects are Joba, Hughes, and Kennedy. It sounds like one of the three likely Kennedy might be used to bring a young hot bat like miggy or a star SP like Santana.
What about younger talent like: Humberto Sanchez, Dellin Betances, Igawa, Clippard, Chase Wright. Also who should I know that I havent listed?
As for Bats, Whats the deal with Eric Duncan, Austin Jackson, Juan Miranda, & Shelly Duncan?

Eric Duncan will never be a regular in the Bronx. I am quite sure Austin Jackson & Jose Tabata will join Melky in the outfield when our other 2 OFers come off the books (unless one is traded). Miranda is supposed to be a beast but I don't know much about him post being signed to the Yankees. Shelly Duncan I need to see more of. I like what I see but I don't think hes a knockout.
There are much more that should be listed, like our catching prospects, but I am beat & don't feel like going on.

Obviously the big three will be here a long time, I agree with you that only Kennedy may be traded for a big star at some point (Cashman is cleverly increasing Kennedy's value right now by grouping him in with the other 2 in everyday conversation). As for the others, we have group of guys who had TJ surgery last year but have high ceilings, which includes Sanchez, Christian Garcia, and Melancon. I expect Sanchez to be moved to the pen because of our depth and for the sake of his arm, and Melancon could become our future closer. Garcia has filthy stuff, better than Hughes, but he hasn't put it all together like Hughes has and he obviously has injury concerns. Betances has the ceiling of an ace, but it is not extremely likely for him to reach that ceiling but that is a long time away. The next young arm that people will be going crazy over is Jairo Heredia, so pay attention for his name.
Hitting wise, we are lacking. It's Tabata and Jackson (both could be in the majors at some point in 2009) and then a bunch of high ceiling guys that will be in A ball next season. I've just about given up on Eric Duncan, our 1B might be Miranda in 2009. He has ridiculous power and will get on base, but he is horrendous defensively and probably won't hit for a high average. But power wise, he can do serious damage in the majors.
