This is the best news of the offseason (that's a little over the top). With Girardi in as manager he would be more conscious of Posada's games anyway but now we at least have a guy who can handle the defensive job and can do more than waive at the ball 3 times and sit down.
I am surprised he didn't hold out for a starting gig with the money Torrealba got from the Mets.

I am starting to think that this is going to be an ugly off season. Were owners hide behind the steroids scare to deflate salaries and agents cry collusion.
Obviously this is a good year to go for it as it is a weak FA class, and the 3 top FA's are Yankees but besides Torrealba and the Yankees signings, the only deal I can recall is Todd Jones on a one year deal.
