Props to Wang

Post#1 » by KnickTerp12 » Wed Apr 23, 2008 4:41 am

Didn't even have close to his best stuff tonight, but battled out there and gave us a quality start. I thought that was huge personally. He is so frustrating to watch when he's not on, but I guess it's just cause we have such high expectations for him.

Also his 50th Major League win, fastest to 50 since Doc Gooden 20 somethin years ago.

Congrats!

i have been very happy with wang....he seems to have no mental scars from the thrashing he got in the playoffs, which is a good thing

i think it is only the fans and media that overacted to wang's playoffs performance last year. He pitched two great games the two previous playoffs but yet people still doubt whether or not he can pitch in the playoffs in ny. The second game that he pitched was on 3days rest, which i believe he has a career era of +15 with 3days rest.

it was a bad move to start him that game, the history was so against it that it should have not happened but we didnt really have another option with Clemens hurt unless we wanted to throw Hughes out there.
Go Knicks!
