Can Moeller be pulled out of assignment? How does that work? If not, what other options are out there? Girardi?

I think all of the other teams have to go through and if no one claims him the Yanks have exclusive rights. It's interesting that the Cervelli injury looms a bit large as a result of this situation. Maybe Montero will get called up despite him being a reportedly bad catcher.

This is absolutely horrible. Jorge is such a big part of our team. If he is out for the year (and that's a possibility), we are done.

Even if he wasn't out based on how the rest of the team has looked so far we might still be done.

woah woah woah how torn is the shoulder? is it really season threatening? if this is because we rushed him back that will not be good. If its anything past the All Star break then we will be in trouble, hopefully its nothing that the good old technology of 2008 cant fix quickly.

What a dumb move to rid of Moeller. They were going to hold on to him through this series to see if Posada was back on track and instead designated him for assignment. Nice job.

word is Posada doesn't have a tear & will not have to miss significant time. He will need a little bit of time on the d/l.
