Subway Series: Part 2

First series was only two games due to a rain-out (that game will be made up today), and those pair of games were rather ugly.
The first loss was a 7-4 loss at the hands of Johan Santana, though Johan did surrender 3 homers in the game. The second game was a late inning beating, with an 11-2 final and a bad showing for Chien-Ming Wang.
Starting with today's double-header, in the Bronx at 2/in Queens at 8, they will kick off a 4 game series. Here are the projected starters:
Today: Pelfrey vs Giese
Tonight: Ponson (Uh oh) vs Pedro
Saturday: Pettitte vs Santana (rematch of the 7-4 loss)
Sunday: Rasner vs Perez
Should be a good series, hopefully the Yanks can do more than split this, and continue inching closer to the Rays and Sawx.

the fact that we are starting giese and ponson shows how vulnerable we are now

This is an embarrassment.
Giese
Ohlendorf
Hawkins
I want them all released and never to play another game in Pinstriples again. They are pathetic.

F'ing waive Ohlendorf or send him down to AAA. It's unbelievable how he's the guy with most innings pitched out of the bullpen yet has the worst ERA of all.
Why the hell don't we use britton??

I'm praying Sir Sidney kept his form from Texas.

Karstens up next in place of Giese and/or Rasner? Pitching was just all around pathetic, when you score 6 runs, it should be enough for the W. -Jitpal

Yankee Pitchers making mediocre teams look good

Yeah, pretty ugly game. Delgado looked like he was 25 again after the way our three pitchers pitched to him. Ohlendorf was sent to AAA after the game to make room for Ponson. Sounds like Matsui is going on the DL also.
Big game tonight, hopefully we hit Pedro and Ponson does better then Geise/Ross/Latroy!

It is one of the biggest joys in my life to watch Pedro get smacked around..

Yeah, Ponson looked very good. Got some big outs when he needed them. I wouldn't expect to much from him down the line, but for now maybe he can shore up the #5 spot in the rotation. He even seemed to be getting along with the rest of the team. They showed him laughing a number of times in the dugout after he got taken out. That seemed to be one of his big problems his last few stops.
I would expect him to take Geise's spot in the rotation, hopefully he carries this one performance over better then past one start wonders (Geise, Clippard, etc.) have done for NY.

Sid was pretty impressive last night, getting out of a couple bases loaded jams with a few key grounders and Ks. I don't know if he'll be able to keep those types of performances up for the remainder of the year, but I'm sure I wouldn't want him starting against the Sawx or Rays.

GAHHHHHHH.
I was waiting all day for this game and my goddamn Fox station switched to Cubs-White Sox. The Digital Cable guide promised me Santana-Pettitte.

Which wouldn't be a problem since I have MLB.TV, but nooooooo, Fox has its draconian blackout contract.
Rupert Murdoch needs to die.

If they don't switch back when it starts, somebody gonna die.
