Today:
7 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 6 K
His stats in AAA so far:
27 IP, 13 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 5 BB, 20 Ks, 1.33 ERA, .67 WHIP
There is no excuse to give Darrel Rasner another start.

Agreed.
We might be just a few weeks away from Rasner AND Ponson being out of the rotation. What a glorious day that would be.

Give IPK another shot but God help him if he pitches trash. 2 terrible stints in the bronx could kill a guy's career.

If ponson keeps pitching like he did vs the angels the other night, I am not so sure...

That was an amazingly lucky start. Ponson had 4 walks and only one strikeout in 7 innings. Only 6 of his 18 outs were groundballs. This is a good case of where ERA can be incredibly misleading about how a pitcher is doing; it's only a matter of time before he starts finally getting shelled left and right. He's at least as bad as Rasner.

Its funny how both Hughes and Kennedy began the year in the rotation with high hopes but then got injured, and now both could return in August and almost decide our playoff fate.

its a matter of fact these 2 decide our fate, afterall, we didnt get santana cuz of these 2, so obviously these 2 need to do something
