So I was at that game where Pavano pitched. I have some notes:
The first three guys out on the field were Nady, Cano and Damon. Those three guys were running before anyone else got there. Followed shortly by Jeter. Cano stopped running at that point while the other two were still going. Then Abreu and Arod got out there and Cano started running again. Interesting thing was after they were done with the running and walking back to the dugout, Abreu had his arm around Cano. Abreu looked like he was giving him some advice and Cano looked like he was listening. Obviously I was too far away to hear what but that's what it looked like.
When Pavano jogged to the outfield to get some running in and play some long toss with IRod, the section I was sitting in was near silence. Everyone was holding their breath until some guy behind us shouted "don't slip." He was looking really bad out there in the beginning, somewhat uncomfortable but then he settled in. In the first inning when he looked bad, I could see in the bullpen guys were getting loose. I think it was Robertson getting loose but then he sat down.
Wilson Betemit has a pretty big fan following. During BP, Betemit was standing around the cage and there were a good amount of kids screaming his name to get their yankee related paraphernalia signed. He didn't come by. Molina waived to those kids and then those kids started chanting his name.
There were a few women sitting behind the batters circle, every time Jeter was in the circle he was talking to them. I was too far away to hear about what but one can only imagine.
Those long foul balls just right of the foul pole were because of wind. Everytime one of those took flight, there was a gust of wind. Pushed it over.
Giambi got the loudest boos, my guess is because Yankee fans and Oriole fans were both booing.
