Is Girardi (Please Use More Appropriate Word)? Why did Pavano come out after only 72 pitches?

I didn't hate that he pulled him out. It did baffle me though, that he wanted Bruney to get one out and then bring Marte in. Why not let Pavno pitch to the one right hander, and then bring in Marte. Its a 1-2 game, there is a solid chance the bullpen could give up one run. Might be tied so you would need him later. Whatever, we won. Interesting question would be this. Pavano is 2-0. Let's say he gets another 6 starts and goes 5-1 in those games or 4-2. So 7-1 or 6-2 at the end of the year. High 3 or Low 4 ERA. Do you pick up his option for next year?
Personally, I would if he pitched like that down the stretch. Sabathia, Wang, Moose, Joba, and Pavano. Let Hughes start in the minors or if they need to keep Joba in the pen early or for the year because of his arm, then Hughes starts the year in the rotation or you bring back Pettitte. He would be in a contract year next year so the motivation would be there. -Jitpal

Man, as fragile as Pavano is, I'm not mad Joey G took him out. Had we lost maybe I'd feel different....

I can't believe Pavano is 2-0. Are the planets aligned?

I just can't believe THIS GUY can win 2 games while Kennedy & Hughes have yet to win a single game this season. Doesn't Pavano have more wins as a Yankee than IPK?
