There is absolutely no even playing field in Baseball, there is asbolutely no control in this sport. Look at all the other sports, NFL, NHL, NBA..they got salary cap, they try to make the playing field as even as possible. AK, CC and Mark? you have got to be kidding me, thats over 400 million dollars thrown out in one off season! how more ridiculous can u get?!? there has to be some control over this sport, it cant be happening for far too longer, because its affecting the lower market teams. But anyways, i have this feeling the Yanks are gona b crap this year. Blue-Jays to win the AL EAST, BOOK IT!!

Wait. First ur on crack if u think the blue jays even have a shot in the east. Sure they still have Doc Halladay but that is it.

Second please explain to me how The taking the $$$ they make and re investing it back into the team and the fans hurts baseball? You dont think the blue jays make 89million dollars a year do you? I'm sure the salaries they pay out are about 1/5th of what the jays make if not more which means, the majority of that $$$ made goes straight into the pockets of the owners for profit. Were as the yankees, take what they make, and put it back into their team.

Third How can it hurt the lower market teams? With a higher payroll, the yankees pay a lux tax which HELPS lower market cheap teams/owners. Then when the yankees sign a big name free agent off a team. they get 2 picks.

This is the New York Yankees, KSR..lol though im a blue jay fan.its time for them to rebuild.Having Doc playing for a crap team is not fair to him anyways. It's just how baseball is.Yankees get big time players most of the time lol 400 million for 3 players

It's called reinvesting part of your profits. There were several lower market teams that have done well and even won a MLB World Series. Unfortunately these teams did not reinvest to get top free agents on their respective teams. Can you blame Bill Gates for being a shrewed businessman? What other business do you know of must share their profits to help out it's competitors?

By the way, Yankee fans pay a premium for attending games and watching the Yankees on the Yes Network. I have not done the research, but compare ticket prices of all major league teams before you complain about our payroll and how much we spent in the off season.

I for one would love to see more parity in the league. It is no fun watching the Yankees go in and pummel teams day in and day out. Do I like to see them victorious? absolutley! You should place the blame on the other team owners that are not willing to spend money on their teams.
