even Cone pointed it out, when Wang doesnt have his primary stuff, he gets shelled cuz he cant make the adjustment on the mound to grind thru the start (aka, he cant make a BAD outing into a MEH outing)...also mentally, when he doesnt have it, he seems to lose his make up

exactly why the yankees have yet to lock up this dude long term. i believe wang is a Number 1 when he is on, but when he is off and he loses his primary stuff he looks like what you would get out of a number 5. So im thinkin the yankees have yet to lock him up long term cause they are fully aware of this trait and were hoping he'd grow into being able to make that adjustment. And if he doesn't i fully expect them to ship him out in a trade for say Halladay? Peavy? Bedard?

That's just not the case. Wang has not had his best stuff and still gutted it out and gave us a good 5-7 innings.

What's happening now is different altogether. My hope is that it was just 2 bad starts, and nothing more.

I hope it is just 2 bad starts... like it was last year or the year before... but i swear these episodes are exactly why they havent signed him to a on the cheap contract yet.

looks like it's more than 2 bad starts... this guy is ruining my fantasy team.

As for a trade, I would hope the Jays aren't dumb enough to give up Halladay for Wang, not even in a package. If we trade Halladay at all (which we won't) ... you can bet your bottom dollar it won't be to someone in the AL East.... it doesn't make sense. We aren't gonna give the best pitcher in the AL East to the Yankees when we can't win the division with him on our team :o

I've never been a Wang fan. Even the past few years when he was doing really well. He doesn't get any strike outs, relies to much on ground outs and fly outs.

wang will come back but winning 19 games a season is not going to happen
