Our pitching has not lived up to billing so far... where is our stopper? CC is supposed to be that guy and we are down 4-0.. we need A-rod back on the field and in the lineup.. it is real simple.. we also need Teixera to start getting some hits and RBI's!!

theres no reason to even follow them anymore

even if the yanks do make a run later this year, it wont be enough as the red sox will prolly be 15 games up on the division

expecially CC....he didnt want to come here...we made a offer that was 40 million larger than any other and tat wasnt good enough for him....so we had to give him 20 more, another year, and a opt out clause to get him here....he is here for the $$, nothing else

Sabathia went 8 innings, struck out 7, had no walks, and his hit total wasn't particularly atrocious. He keeps pitching like this, he'll be pretty damn good over the long term. The Yankees are 9-10 in a historically bad month for them in a historically bad month for their second best hitter without their best hitter seeing a pitch. There's problems here, but the season's not over. Calm the **** down.

slow starts are hard to overcome (see last year)

We don't know that. In fact, since everything has been going swimmingly with his rehab so far, i'd say there's a great chance he'll be fine productively.

This isn't a horrifically slow start; they're one game below .500. The sweep looked kinda bad, but Friday was a game the Yankees almost always win, Sunday was close most of the way and still winnable at the end, and Saturday looked like an easy win until Burnett randomly imploded mid-game. Tonight, the Yankees outhit the Tigers and came up short because their starter had a bad inning despite outstanding peripherals. The basic concept of a small sample size doesn't go out the window just because the team is on a losing streak.

There's a damn good chance the World Series winner will be a team hovering around .500 now or worse. The Rays are 8-12, the Cubs are 9-8, and the Mets match our record. Meanwhile, the Mariners have one of the best records in baseball and the Pirates and Padres (arguably the two worst teams in the league) are above .500.

Is it too much to ask to not see Chicken Littling in April?

Regardless of whether A-rod is 100% or not, he's still 10X the player Ransom is. We could see A-rod at 25% healthy and he'd still be better then Ransom.

Yeah slow starts are hard to overcome, but this years team actually has legitimate pitchers, not a staff full of scrubs/minor league pitchers. CC is a notoriously slow starter, as is Mark Tex. Things could be much worse then they are.

It seems like we are losing games the same way we did last year..

BAd pitching, blown leads, no hitting and struggling star players.... last year this was a recipe for disaster, I see the same thing so far.. Hopefully I am wrong, but I hate what I am seeing now..

At least Hughes is on the bump today so at least we have a better chance of winning than if Wang were pitching.

his great stretch came in NL where lineups dont go more than 7 deep, + he was pitching for a contract


there is no way he repeats that this year or any year in the next 7

He won the cy young award in the AL in 2007...
