yanks go to texas

this is a odd series

we got phil, joba, AJ going

they got harrison, millwood, holland going

holland is a future stud, but is a rookie this year...harrison is average but he did well against us last year and millwood is HIT or 8IP of shutout baseball

i get a gut feeling this will be a offensive showcase for both teams, but tomorros game suck as it is a day game

tough to call this series

should be an interesting series, i hate to see u guys so hot heading into our place though, will be an interesting test for us (have some tough games coming up)

ill be at tomorrows game and it looks to be a sellout (well, pretty much one) and we may actually outnumber ur fans

harrison started the season abysmal then in the 3rd inning of his start on 4/27 something clicked and he's been a different pitcher, though he fell apart in the 6th inning of last start

milwoods pitching well and deep into games (has to get 180 innings for next years contract)

wednesday though ur gonna get dutch oven'd, not much u can do about it

not sure it'll be an offensive showcase, our offense hasnt exactly been spectacular outside of some nice slugging #'s. though kinsler this season has been 10X better at home then on the road.

have fun watching elvis andrus display real range for a ss :)

4 hits and 2 Runs to open up the game. Not bad. Then Cano GIDP and Melky out on a grounder. Damn it.

Let's go Phil!

Looks like Hughes is going to have a bid at a 3 Hitter CG Shutout

VERY Impressive against arguably the best offensive team in the MLB

**** you Giradi

This game in my eyes still counts as a 3 Hitter CG Shut out for Hughes.

And there goes the Shutout thanks Joe it could of been a perfect 11-0 Win but NOOOO it has to be a 11-1. Thanks alot.

Great outing by Phil. This is the best I've seen from Phil since his no-hit bid in... Texas... His curveball was the best it's been in years, he was spotting it very well.

Yeah, I also noticed that he didn't have his best fastball today but he did have the best location of it that I've seen this season, and look at his numbers...shows you all you need is that command it doesn't matter if it is 91 mph or 94 mph. His last few starts have really been impressive (although the numbers in a couple of them haven't). If he can remain healthy and finally stick in the majors for a long period of time, we may see him finally turn that corner from being a top prospect to a major leaguer. Hopefully this is the beginning of it because his confidence seems sky high for a change.

well that was a real kick to the balls. not only do we rarely beat you guys but when we do it's never in a blowout fashion like you guys showed today. i know we arent on your level yet but damnit it'd be nice to at least look like we belong on the same field

The break on his curveball was just flat out nasty. The only small complaint I have is he would've fooled a lot more guys if he threw it just a little higher so it wouldn't hit the dirt multiple times.

And it's not like he has to rush either. Cervelli's doing well and Cash hasn't been horrible on defense.

Anyone else see Cabrera rounding first and doing a belly flop? It was hilarious.

About a two hour rain delay on Game 2. Cavs-Magic game is on too though.
