It's really starting to look like Joba could use a few starts to get his act together in AAA. You can't keep throwing him out there and watch him give up a lot of runs in about 4 innings of work. We need some length from our starters, especially now with a spot in the rotation up in the air with Wang's departure.

Just as I say that, Hinske goes yard. Another great start so far for NY, hopefully this time they can keep the lead.

Hinske is looking like a brilliant acquisition thus far.

Spoke too soon. Once again, the starting pitching blows the lead. Get Pettite out.

Sigh. Another Yankee implosion in Anaheim. Let's just call them our daddies, pray the Red Sox lose their next two games, and hope to enter the All-Star break no less than 2 games back.

Howie Kendrick has, what, a .500 career average against the Yankees in a sizable amount of ABs? Didn't this clown get demoted to the minors earlier this year?

Yes he was, but apparently- like much of the Angel's hitters- when he sees Pinstripes, he turns into a .500 hitter instead of a .230 hitter.

we just can't beat the angels. Doesn't matter who they put on the field, they can field 9 4 year old kids and still crush us... I mean a 7 run inning? WTH????? 5 run inning last night and a 7 run inning today.. we can drop 2 games back... geez....

Not only has the pitching sucked today, the Angels have been running wild on the base paths too. They gotta have about 4-5 stolen bases today.

Oh my god... this Angels team turns into an offensive powerhouse in the 4th and 5th innings.
