When will the Yanks stand up to the Angels?

It's starting to get a little ridiculous. Sure, the Yanks took 2 out of 3 against the Angels at Yankee stadium but it's unacceptable to blow leads 5-1, 4-1 on consecutive games. To me, this is the litmus acid test for the Yankees. They have to figure out how to work the 5th and 6th innings. I am just at a loss for words on what to do.

Do they ask their starters to mix things up when the line up comes up for the 3rd time against their starters?

Do you make Hughes the 5th-6th inning man during Pettitte or Joba's starts?

The Yanks have to understand this is a concern especially as they will inevitably have to re-encounter the Red Sox...and might even face the Angels in the first round.

the biggest thing that ticks me off is how the pitchers say they had their best stuff even thou they cant even make it past 5 innings

Simple, the starters need to get past the 5th and 6th. After that, go with a combo of Bruney, hughes, or coke, then Rivera.

Bruney has been dreadful. Coke wasn't too sharp yesterday.

The starting pitching against the Angels was horrendous. Even CC was bad. Joba and Pettitte have to start pitching better, and CC needs to be a little more consistent.
