I'm concerned for the guy. I mean, last year he was gone for the season rounding third base. That's beyond fragile. It's brittle. Now, all this alleged lack of conditioning leading up to this.

This is something I've said all along, the Yanks can't count on him any more. He's not a third ace. His health concerns make him a #4 or #5. The Yanks better keep a 6th starter just in case.

BTW some douche bag said that Wang wasn't injury prone. The NY Times conveniently lists all of Wang's injuries going back to his minor league days:

2001: Season ending shoulder surgery
2005: Lost two months to shoulder injury (Yea, motherfu*ker I told you so)
2008: Season ending Foot injury
2009: Season ending microscopic arm surgery

If you feel confident that next season the Yanks don't need a 6th starter, you need to share that crack cocaine.

2001 - irrelevant
2005 - Irrelevant since he was never gonna start for us at the beginning of the season, he was always intended to be brought up mid season which they did without any problems
2008 - First real injury that affected the actual team
2009 - Bad luck continues, nothing more to say about that..

The fact of the matter is, you stated he was injury prone BEFORE 2008's injury which anyone can clearly see he wasn't.

Injury prone players = Those players that ALWAYS seem to miss a month or two every season... Chipper Jones, JD Drew, Mark Prior, Kerry Wood, etc

Yeah what has happened to Wang in the last year IS unfortunate but don't give me that b***s*** as if he was a main concern for injury before breaking his leg last year. In a 3 year stretch he rarely missed a start. So excuse me if I don't immediately call him Injury Prone or Pavano 2( ).

And I find it hilarious that you felt the need to insult me because I didn't agree with you, grow up.

Yeah, Wang is far from injury prone. He was always considered an innings eater for us who would consistently give us 7 innings of work, what "injury prone" player can achieve that for one year let alone 2 and a half? Last year was a completely freak injury that can happen at any time to anybody, and this year's injury may have been a fallout from that because he never got in shape properly to build his body back up.

Like Jeff said, guys like Kerry Wood and Mark Prior are injury prone because they literally can't get through a year without one or two issues popping up. Look at Nomar with 15 trips to the DL in his career, he is injury prone.

If Wang is injury prone then I'd love to know what you'd call some of his former teammates in the rotation like Pavano, Wright etc...
