Buster Olney's apology to the Yankees

Any one read the ESPN column by Buster Olney who initially predicted the Yankees to miss the playoffs again, and the Rays to finish first in the AL East. Talk about FAIL!
Look, I get it.
ESPN is so desperately trying to sell sports to the West Coast (why I don't know especially since LA is the ONLY town that can't support an NFL franchise). I know we gotta sell English Premiership and their gay term for exhibition is called "friendlies." Cause lord knows only in LA can lord Beckham's injuries not take up 30 min. of Sports center.
I also realize Olney is a Red Sox apologist/ loving Vermont boy who supposedly loves middle payroll teams such as the Brewers.
My anger comes from purposely ignoring a team that loaded up on offense with Teixiera and Swisher to an already potent line up plus adding 2 front line starters.
And that was supposed to be third place in the AL East?
I mean, have the Yanks been that soured on in sports journalism? Did Olney not think the Yanks would eventually fix the pen back in April? Did he think Tex would continue to hit .182? It boggles my mind.
What's SCARY is the fact this Yankee team still hasn't played their best yet. A-Rod is still struggling with that hip. His timing is off and his speed is not there. Wang is out for the season (can you imagine if the Yanks had a healthy Wang?). With Brett Gardner, the Yanks were 3rd in the AL in steals. Can you imagine when he's back how that can give the line up a jolt?
The Yanks are a VERY scary team and teams should be fearful for them. Hell, even Cody Ransom started to play better on the team. A WHAT?!?!?!?
This reminds me so much of when ESPN was **** on the NY Giants in the NFL. Going into the playoffs the Giants had a sick road record and ESPN didn't even favor them against Tampa Bay?!?!?! Talk about EASY money. Then against Old man Favre? The Meadowlands ain't Green Bay but it's not Miami Beach in December.
Just don't know where it all comes from in ESPN's hate on NY teams. Well, they have the Knicks to kick around for a while.
