Rangers At Yankees

Post#1 » by TKF » Wed Aug 26, 2009 1:08 am

Wow, so far Joba is a mess. we need to win this series to keep our distance in the AL east, so hopefully we can start resting guys as the season winds down.... Again, joba still looks like a young pitcher with a great arm and a lot to learn.... 7 runs in 4 innings.. my lord..

down 10-5, this game is over.. this could be a series where texas sweeps us if we are not careful. boston is about to win and cut the lead to 6 games.... Joba was a joke tonight and this is a critical series...... just inexcuseable tonight....

His stubborn fake Clemens attitude is really starting to piss me off. You ain't Roger, Joba.

And the countdown is 6 starts before Joba is put back where he belongs, in the pen. It's not Joba's stuff but his mental approach. He's a stubborn cuss who tries to be too cute against .226 hitters.

He is scared to throw strikes. I don't see how that changes in the pen.

WHY was nick swisher ordered to bunt.. I generally don't second guess Girardi.. but that was a terrible move.. let him swing the bat!

And we lost.. of course.. Girardi over managing cost us the game..

The Yankees hitters put together a vailant effort, but Joe Girardi did his best to squash the rally and ultimately succeeded.

Damn, would've been a sweet comeback. I usually defend Girardi to death, but the bunt was the wrong call. Swisher doesn't bunt and why move the runners over for an ice cold Melky? Sure you guarantee Jeter an at bat even if Melky makes out but still, Swisher has to swing the bat there with the momentum we had.

I really think Girardi has done an exceptional job especially in recent weeks so I can't be too upset, plus I had already accepted the loss entering the 9th, but that would've been a sick comeback.

I turned from the game in the top of the 9th.. I look at the papers and see we rallied and lost by just 1 run.. LOL.. holy cow!!!

so we had man on first and second with no outs, down 10-9 and swisher bunting? come on Joe. I am a huge giradi supporter but that was a bad move.. let swisher swing... and since swish doesn't bunt, why put him in that situation....

I hate bunting. I hate small ball which belongs in National League where they have inferior rosters and a pitcher batting 9th.
