Thought he was gona go 8 IP 0 R but then came the 7th inning but he did give us a great outing... Buehrle was horrible as of late and throws a quality outing against us . That bases loaded situation with Cano really hurt us. Why is he worse in Bases Loaded situations when you get better pitches to hit  Either he puts too much pressure on himself or lack of patience.

Cano made up for bouncing out to the first baseman with the bases loaded. I still don't like his hot dogging. I'd take Pedroia over Cano any day because I hate that posing **** he does but nontheless, he won it for the Yanks.

Our old buddy Jose Contrearas against Andy Pettitte. I hope the Yanks bash the **** out of this ****. He couldn't throw a strike to save his life when he was a starter in NYC then he goes to Chicago and suddenly comes out with that forkball. ****.

Hey, I am all about fundamentals and I support bunting. The problem is, Nick Swisher isn't the player who should be bunting in that situation.

small ball really doesn't belong in the american league. you cannot be willing to give up outs when probability and baseball statistics repeatedly show that taking away outs will only put you in a hole. and apparently playing small ball gives you "grit". what nonsense. and please tell jeter to stop f*@king bunting.

If small ball doesn't exist in the AL, then you can erase the 4 WS the NY Yankees won in the mid to end of 90s. That team embodied manufacturing runs because let's face it, if you think you're going to hit the **** out of the ball in the playoffs, that's NOT going to happen.

The Yanks failures over the last 8 years have been because they thought they could win the world series by slugging the **** out of the ball: See Giambi, Sheffield, etc.

Practicing a little small ball is Not a bad thing. It will come in handy in a tight game. Believe you me, there will be tight games come 5 game series.

That's bull. The Yankees didn't play small ball in the late 90s. Those were some seriously powerful offenses that didn't need to play small ball because they hit the ball so well.

In the 90s we won with situational hitting and top notch pitching, not with bunting guys over.

I could have sworn it was due to throwing bums like Jared Wright, 45 year old Clemens, Corey Lidle (RIP, but still he shouldn't have been on a playoff roster), Kevin Brown etc... not to mention Tom Gordon imploding in 04.

Pitching wins championships.

and there were different heroes every game, every year.. You would have wettland, then mo, then jeter, then paulie then bernie, then chad curtis, then jimmy key, then chili davis, then cecil fielder, then wade boggs, then charlie hayes... everyone played a huge part... and don't forget mr. post season scott brosius....

yesterday, have to give it up to mitre. I guess the yankees knew this guy had something in him. I thought he couldn't pitch. yesterday he was a beast..
