Yankee call-ups

Post#1 » by j4remi » Tue Sep 1, 2009 3:14 am

According to Jon Heyman on twitter...

"SI_JonHeyman: yanks calling up pena, cervelli, melancon and dunn tomorrow."

Should be interesting to see what Dunn does, glad to see Melancon come up as well. I'm not sure I understand a third catcher.

Why wouldn't they call up Cervelli.. He was pretty good when we called him up earlier this year. Besides it gives Joe some Flexibility. You can DH posada now and not worry about losing the DH later on if we want to pinch hit/run for Molina.

Scranton's season isn't over. The regular season ends next Monday, and Scranton is in first place so they may make a run in the post-season as well. Won't see Jackson until they are done.
