Do you really believe MLB came up with these Interleague series to give back to the fans?

For the fans to spend more money... a marketing ploy after the strike. I mean, its fun to play the Giants, but its not like I look forward to the SF-OAK series like I do when we play Anaheim, New York, Boston, and now Detroit...
