A's acquire Ryan Langerhans from Atlanta

Post#1 » by FNQ » Sun Apr 29, 2007 11:59 pm

Link to come when I find it online, just heard it on the radio... for a player to be named later. Looks like we're gutting our farm system, which has massively disappointed recently...

So now we've made 3 trades in about a week.

Denorfia
Langerhans
Travis Foley

I wonder whats going on with all the small trades here.

All I can say,is Billy must be thinking the bullpen will turn things around, since he hasnt traded for any help.

Langerhans posted an excellent 13.7% walk rate last year, but he's still well below average offensively for a left fielder. His defense is his main asset.

He was bad news for the Atlanta Braves and now he's going to be bad news for the Oakland A's. Expect zero offense and I'm pretty upset right now. Out of all the teams, why did the Braves have to trade Ryan to Oakland.

makes me wonder if Billy has given up,and has began to rebuild,if we was just filling spots till the injured gets healthy,we could have went to our minors.

Its beginning to look that way... let the Piazza, Kotsay, Bradley, Kielty, Chavez, Crosby, Harden, Kendall, and Duscherer offers begin!

Well I'm not worried about trading Kendall, because we have Kurt S uzuki, and Landon Powell coming up sooner or later to catch. We have Travis Buck,Richie Robnett coming up to take over in the OF,Daric Barton for 1B,but were not real deep at 3B,so unless we trade for an upcoming prospect I think we better hang on the Chavez.I dont see him trading Piazza thou, unless he calls up Barton and lets Barton or Johnson DH,but with him trading for outfielders makes me think he wants to keep Swisher at 1st.

Well he has been traded already, from what somebody told me we got Chris Snelling who has some potential.

Chris Snelling could be awesome if he can ever stay healthy.

Really great trade depending on who Oakland is sending as the PTBNL to Atlanta.
