It's that time....

THE BATTLE FOR THE BAY!

Do you roll with the #1 squad in the Bay???

Or do you follow this guy?

Sorry Barry... no splash hits here, but we're not as hospitable as the SD fans, find your own needles!

But there's more...

Another underlying story to the series, the return of Barry Zito...

Couldn't be reached for comment, but did respond when asked on a scale of 1-10, how bad he wished he still played for the A's:

Oh it's true!

He's played in all 40 games... he strained his groin yesterday but should be fine.

Crap, I thought it was starting at 7:30... I missed what must have been an awe-inspiring bases loaded walk for Jack Cust.

I'm not used to rooting against Zito (he's one of my favorite players), this is weird.

9-3 A's in the top of the 7th... looking prettty good, but now I'm seeing Jay Marshall, and I don't like it... probably the worst arm in our depleted bullpen...

Yes he does, thats why he shouldnt be facing Ortmeier, Winn, and Frandsen... Marshall is a Mike Myers, so why are we using him like he was last year's Kennedy?

We have to remember he has never pitched above class A ball, and since he's a rule 5 draft pick we might as well see what all he can do,since we cant send him down, without the chance of losing him back to the White Sox.

i highly doubt that a's would send him down considering he's way higher on geren's totem pole then dinardo.

What was shocking to me was him being in there instead of Embree... until I saw that Embree will likely be closing games for us now.

Well we couldn't close out the sweep, but we took 2 of 3, and that's good enough... on to the next series.
