For real... its time to give Melhuse some burn, along with Jeremy Brown... I defenitely dont want to see Suzuki yet though.

considering he will be the starting catcher next year, i really wouldn't consider it rushing.

Well, if we're throwing in the towel, we may as well...
But for all Kendall's miscues, he sure does have our staff under control, and to throw a C in there who was no idea of his pitchers' tendencies, and has a minimal relationship with any, we'd might as well start trading off assets immediately. He wouldnt know when to go out and talk to his pitchers, what to say to calm them down.... all little things that Kendall has done well enough to save his job.
Since we really could never convince Kendall to take a backup role, he'd have to be shipped out or waived, and Melhuse would need to become starter with Suzuki or Brown becoming the 5th day C, to build enough of a relationship that either one could assume C duties the following year... overall C is just too delicate of a position to just pull the string here.
