A's will follow Percival's comeback (Article)

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Mon May 28, 2007 3:15 am

The Giants and A's could be among the clubs interested in former closer Troy Percival, 37, officials from both teams said. First, they'd have to see him in person. He's throwing to hitters at UC Riverside and soon will invite big-league teams to watch him. He hasn't pitched in a big-league game since July 2005 and announced his retirement in April, but he told the Angels he wants his contract as a minor-league instructor voided so he could pitch again.

At this point, anyone would help our pen.... a 75% Percival is a lot better than some of our main relievers at 100%.

I'd like to see him make a comeback in Oakland Green.
