A-Rod, Bonds could rock Bay

The A's therefore should sign Barry Bonds, and the Giants Alex Rodriguez.

We're losing out up here. The Dodgers are going to bring in Joe Torre as manager, meaning L.A. will be big in the New York tabloids. And Joe, a good guy, also knows something about running a ballclub.

The Angels have Vlad Guerrero and a division winner. The Padres were good enough to tie Colorado for the wild card. We're dealing with the real world, the one where if you're not recognized by ESPN, you don't exist.

You think anybody in the Eastern time zone has a shred of interest in the A's or Giants as currently constituted? You think anybody in Northern California does?

Barry Bonds joins the A's, and he not only puts balls in the seats, no fewer than 20 home runs, but he also puts fannies in the seats. You think

people wouldn't be fascinated by Barry on the east side of the bridge? You think the A's wouldn't at last have the golden opportunity to upstage the Giants?

I think it would be great to see Barry in Green and Gold,if he doesnt cost to much.

You know he's going to cost!

However, he would get on base and we could use this type of player. I'd assume he'd fill some seats as also.

I think that there is a better chance that Barry Bonds is going to go to the Angels just because he lives down there. Though he might want to stay up in the Bay. I hope he does not come here though. It's either us, or Angels. Please be Angels.

If we were in playoff contention, I'd be all for Bonds... at this stage? We've got bigger issues...
