Gordon is going to be a strictly one inning pitcher. Manuel has already said so and Gordon has already proven he can barely do 1 inning. There is absolutely no way in hell Gordon pitches 2 innings in a game at ANY point this season.

Of all the Phillies, I admire and respect Howard the most. What's going on with him? Is he always a slow starter? It seems like he's stranding runners at an alarming rate.

He did only have one homerun over the first 2 or 3 weeks last year, and 5 in April. I don't remember if his overall hitting was down.

You guys will eventually come around (you have too much offensive firepower not to) but will it be too late. If you dig a hole deep enough, like last year, it's very difficult to climb out. Also, besides Hammels, the pitching might not live up to all the hype. That ballpark doesn't help either, it's like playing arcade baseball.
