How about attempting to acquire Hank Blalock from the Rangers to play 3B for us? Fairly young kid, former all-star who could hit 3-4 for us in front of Rowand.

We could offer something like...Sanchez, Lewis, Frandsen for Blalock and PTBN.

Thoughts?

a overated player but i would take a chance on him. i dont know if the rangers would trade him after losing teixeria last year.

I rather take a gamble on Crede if he can pass his physical. I hear the Giants have some interest in Dallas McPherson. He's coming off of back surgery as well but he would be cheap and still has major upside.

However the pickings are getting pretty slim. If a trade for Crede doesn't happen, I have no problem with starting Frandsen at third especially with the Giants not expecting to do much in the immediate future.
