He not surprisingly has Bumgarner, Posey, Villalona and Alderson in his top-4.

More importantly, how will these four stack in BA's top 100 prospects? The Giants are sure to get these 4 ranked. They have an outside chance at 5 but I doubt it. Bum should be top 10, maybe top 5, with Posey top 25 or even top 20. Vill will be around 50 and Alder should be in the 60 range. That is very, very impressive.

San Jose is going to be loaded to start the season.

Villalona, Posey, Crawford , Gillaspie, Noonan in the infield with Neal, Kieschnick and Ford in the outfield. Not to mention Bumgarner anchoring the starting rotation.

I can't wait to get down there.

Yup. That is very impressive. I plan to watch the first games while this group is still together.

Here is the official Baseball America Top 100 Prospect List for 2009. Shameless self-plug but dam I was nearly spot on. 8-)

http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/pr ... 67698.html

#9 MADISON BUMGARNER: I don't have a problem with him being this low but I do have a problem with him being the #3 pitcher behind Price and Hanson. No way Hanson is better than Bum! Period.

#14 BUSTER POSEY: This is a little high for me only because he has very, very little minor league exp. I think he is more 20-25 range. I want him to earn a top 20 spot, not be gifted one. What is amazing is the Giants could have the top 2 prospects in MLB in 2010 with Bum #1 overall and Posey #2 overall. Yes, that is the Giants. Who would have thought...

#44 ANGEL VILLALONA: I did a quick check (very quick) and Angel appears to still be the youngest player to make the list. Top 50 at his age = wow.

#45 TIM ALDERSON: 2010 starting rotation... Timmy, Bum, Cain, Alderson, Sanchez/Lowry = Best rotation in MLB for the foreseeable future. Very, very exciting!

So, four in top 50 and four overall. I thought perhaps Noonan could sneak into the 90's but he missed the cut. And to think, we still have the #6 overall draft pick this year. I'm calling it early this year...

With the 6th pick in the 2009 MLB draft, the SF Giants select outfielder (and highschooler) Donovan Tate to be our CF of the future.

I would take Aaron Crow at 6 if he's there.

This should get you excited. A very nice article about 10 prospects to watch this season for the Giants. It is a good read with some great analysis thrown in. Check it out.
