Now that the Giants won't play again until next season......what things would you like to see happen during the off season?
Whether it's players you'd like to see brought in, players you'd like to see gone or just some general directions, what are you thinking?

Off Season Wish List
Of all the preposterous assumptions of humanity over humanity, nothing exceeds most of the criticisms made on the habits of the poor by the well-housed, well-warmed, and well-fed.

Re: Off Season Wish List
We need a SS, but the SS market is very very thin this year. Rollins seems likely, but the guy wants 5 years. **** that. I also wanna see Beltran come back but for no more than 3 years, which probably won't be the case.
Overall though there's really not that much that I wanna change about this team. Pitching core is solid but we need to make sure it A) stays healthy and B) stays with us. They won't hit FA for another couple of years but we need to save cap space in order to ensure we keep them. We have a good middle of the order set in Pablo-Buster-Belt, but like the pitchers, we've gotta hope they're injury-free unlike this year and that we can sign them for more years in the future. The two main areas to improve on are CF and SS -- both speed positions -- but these are two of the most important positions on the field and aren't cheap. I'm guessing we'll end up with something like Furcal and Crisp for a couple years each.

Cuddyer and Crisp are the guys I think we'll be after. Rollins will be too pricey for us.

Re: Off Season Wish List
I'd like to see us shop Jonathan Sanchez .. Can't believe we didn't trade him for Reyes when we had the chance
What about Zito? There were rumors bout a buyout? I'd like to see him get a very very last chance actually .. He can't be done at his age

Won't be a buyout for Zito. He'll be a Giant at least during Spring Training.
We've probably made more since then, but the last offseason Giants trade I remember was the hated Pierzynski deal. I'm interested to see if we'll make a trade if a decent SS becomes available. I wouldn't be surprised if Sabean's asking around for any takers for Sanchez.

Re: Off Season Wish List
Carlos Quentin, a trade of J. Sanchez, Francisco Peguero, and Ehire Adrianza
A position switch to left field may be less taxing on his body and hopefully brings less injuries.
Grady Sizemore, potential free agent
A tandem of Ross and Sizemore should be good enough. Sizemore could also see some time at right or left to also prevent wear on his legs. More of a outfield by committee approach.
Cody Ross, free agent
Only because he can play all outfield positions and a late inning defensive replacement for Quentin.
There is nothing in the minors for now, except Brown, so the outfield will be once again be filled with stopgap fixings.
Would love to see Brandon Crawford at shortstop. Defense up the middle was lacking all season, then the loss of Freddy made the middle vulnerable. The entire middle of the defense was lost: Posey, Sanchez, and the centerfielders were nonexistant offensively. Omar Vizquez is available again and should be a Giant again.

Quinten isn't gonna happen but I would be surprised if the Giants weren't looking at getting both Sizemore and Ross. But if they do so, I doubt we'd be able to re-sign Beltran. Which means we lost Wheeler for nothing, which sucks ass.
