Game 2 vs. Reds 6:37 PM PT , TBS

Post#1 » by HiRez » Mon Oct 8, 2012 12:06 am

Uh oh, I'm seeing the Yankees-Orioles game is delayed, I'm going to be PISSED if they show that game over the Giants game, if they overlap, which seems likely (especially since I'm not in the Bay Area right now).

Needless to say, this game is a must win for the Giants.

Giants
----------
A Pagan CF
M Scutaro 2B
P Sandoval 3B
B Posey C
H Pence RF
B Belt 1B
G Blanco LF
B Crawford SS
M Bumgarner LHP

Reds
----------
B Phillips 2B
Z Cozart SS
J Votto 1B
R Ludwick LF
J Bruce RF
S Rolen 3B
R Hanigan C
D Stubbs CF
B Arroyo RHP

Someone else will have to do the whole game writeup if you want it. Vogelsong also going to start in Game 3 over Lincecum. Good decision IMO.

UPDATE: They just announced the Giants game will be moved to TNT. Hope no one is relying on their TiVos to catch it...

You can say the Giants got a bad matchup in the Reds (and I have), but the sad fact is they just aren't good enough. It's not impossible they come back and win, but it's very, very unlikely. If they do lose this series they are going to have a lot of questions to answer in the offseason. This once-vaunted pitching staff, starters and relievers both, is looking unreliable, and this team still can't hit with any power.

Timmy actually looked pretty good coming out of the 'pen ..

Game 3 starter will be Vogelsong I guess?

Gonna be an offseason full of questions. We once had IMO the best pitching staff in the game, right now they've all become unreliable. Offense didn't look good either

Too bad. We had lotta momentum, lotta unity in the clubhouse, good atmosphere ..

I was convinced we could have another special run, but now I'd be happy to win 1 game :(
