Talk about a fast track, the Giants called up Gillaspie.

"Gillaspie is one of the most advanced bats in this year's draft. We consider him to be a fast-track player," said Senior Vice President and General Manager Brian Sabean. "He plays a position of need for us and we feel it is extremely important to go into this off-season knowing as much about him and the position as possible. Getting the immediate benefit of working with our Major League staff will only accelerate his development."

That was a pretty sweet season to be honest. It was the first year I've actually followed a minor league team, game by game.

Where will Mad, Villalona and Noonan be next year? San Jose?

MadBum and Villalona will be in San Jose for sure. But I'm hearing whispers Noonan will start off in Connecticut next year.
