NLDS - Braves vs Giants
The series thread we've all been waiting for. We've been good, bad and Bochy this year, but now it's our time to put it together and start that magical world series run.
We can forget about Burrell's home run against the Dodgers. We can forget about losing on a one hitter, twice. We can forget about Matt Latos putting a ball through Dave Flemming's windshield. New series, new stories.
Your Giants will play the Atlanta Braves, a team without it's starting 3B and backup 3B. The Braves won the season series 4-3, but once again, new series, fresh start.
Probables.
Derek Lowe 16-12, 4.00 ERA vs. Tim Lincecum 16-10, 3.43 ERA
Tommy Hanson 10-11, 3.33 ERA vs. Matt Cain 13-11, 3.14 ERA
Yon Sanchez 13-9, 3.07 ERA vs. Tim Hudson 17-9, 2.83 ERA
GO GIANTS GO!

Re: NLDS - Braves vs Giants
Have no clue what will happen. Giant's pitching is good enough to handle the Braves, but with no post-season experience in the starters, who knows if they will. Hitting is in its own world. Sort of a quantum physics thing, either they hit or they don't. Sometimes it is dictated by good pitching, but this year, not that often.
Maybe if they face the Phils and get shut down, you could say that pitching beat hitting. Against the Braves, however, if the hitters go belly up, I'm more likely to think that they just weren't hitting.
so hopefully, the pitching is just lights out, no matter what the run support is, and they get a couple of games where the hitters click, and then they squeeze out a close one.

This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

Told you guys Guillen wouldn't be on the roster. Also, there's almost no chance Rowand gets more than 6 ABs.

High pressure game. Three straight balls. Down the middle fastball. Double.
Exactly how I would have predicted it. Let's hope he gets out of it and settles down after inning one.

Alright, not a bad 1st inning. Timmy needs to settle down a bit, some of his pitches are all over the place.
Let's get some hits, boyos!
